About This Spot

Jim’s Pizza Calumet is the kind of unpretentious, welcoming spot where the warm glow from inside invites you to slow down from the brisk Upper Peninsula air. Nestled in the heart of Calumet, this place feels like a friendly neighborhood hub—familiar enough to be comforting, yet delightfully casual in its rhythm. Whether it’s the hum of conversation or the easy going chat with the team behind the counter, there’s a genuine, lived-in vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer.

Here, the atmosphere is as much about sharing simple, satisfying food as it is about the moments it brings together. The pace is relaxed—no rush, just the pleasure of enjoying a meal that feels thoughtfully made. You might come in for a slice that’s rich with bubbling cheese and just the right kiss of char on the crust, or maybe to indulge in one of their heartier offerings that blend diner charm with familiar comfort. The lineup feels like a local story told through food: from perfectly crispy onion rings, praised for their crunch, to creative twists on classic breakfasts that surprise even those not usually ordering pizza so early in the day.

Jim’s also carries a subtle sense of community pride, reflected in their readiness to go the extra mile—like a thoughtful delivery on a damp motorcycle trip—an unspoken invitation that here, you’re more than just a visitor passing through. And despite the straightforward menu, the spirit is anything but ordinary. Whether gathering with family, meeting friends after a day outdoors, or grabbing a quick bite during travels, Jim’s serves up more than just food: it’s a place where the familiar comforts of good, honest cooking and warm welcomes meet.

This was a great little pizza joint. It's not fancy, but the pizza was tasty and hot and reasonably priced. Server's recommendation for the snack sticks was spot-on... what's not to love about fried dough? They do have other items like burgers and sandwiches, but we got a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and it was more than enough with the snack sticks for 3 adults and a kid, and we had leftovers. It's an old building with a pretty dated atmosphere, but our server was great, food came out fast, and we were happy.

We spend all of our free time in the Keweenaw any chance we get and Jim's is always a must stop for a good pie. The Pizza has always been great, staff has always been pleasant, polite and prompt. Now that I think about it, we are due back in town in 2 weeks and we will most definitely be stopping in again!

We stopped in here the other day for a late breakfast/lunch. We decided to split a breakfast pizza because then we could still have breakfast even though we opted for a pizza place. It was probably the best breakfast pizza I've ever had. The butter sauce they used was really good and kept the pizza from being too dry. They used a healthy amount of cheese and breakfast toppings as well to add variety and flavor. Would highly recommend their pizza based on our experience here.

On a motorcycle trip up to copper harbor. Got a cabin in sunset bay campground. It's raining and we couldn't get out to the store to get food. We called Jim's pizza. Not only was it great pizza but since we were on our bikes. The driver even drove it all the way to us!! A great thank you to the driver for bringing it all the way to us! Great person! Also thank you to Jim's pizza in Calumet MI!!!

We were on little road trip and decided to order a take out pizza for the ride home. Now, we are from Iron River, and would prefer Riverside pizza on any given day, it’s a ‘thing’ . But, this pizza was delicious! We had different toppings on each half. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Quick service and found the old tin ceiling in the hallway an interesting touch Btw. I never like any pizza other than our Riverside. So this is a big deal!

Probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had - and that’s my jam. I had them add grilled onions, mushrooms, and Swiss and it was amazing. Stuffed pepperoni pizza was also amazing. I like a thin but flexible crust, and this had it along with a toasty crisp crust. It was great.
